Depot Art Center - A free docent-led tour of the art exhibits at the Depot Art Center. 2:00pm

Emerald Mountain Snowshoe Tour - Meet at Emerald Mountain for a two hour snowshoe tour.
10:00am – noon - $12.00 per person

Duplicate Bridge – Available every Monday night at 6:30pm. All are welcome.
Yampa Valley Electrical Association – Free

Open Mike Night – Become a star! Open Mike night is every Monday Night at Mahogany Ridge Brew Pub. Sign up- is at 8pm, with the show starting at 9pm.

Winter Carnival – Opening Ceremonies – A celebration honoring the Winter Carnival Queen and her court of Attendants, Little Princesses, and Grand Marshals.
Howelsen Hill Lodge – 5:30pm

Thursday 2/5
Uranium Mine Snowshoe Tour – Join a Yampatika naturalist on a snowshoe tour that follows the rim of the Fish Creek Canyon. Bring water, a snack and snowshoes if you have them. Snowshoes can be rented from Yampatika for $10.00. -  871-9151 –

Ski with a Naturalist – Meet at the Why Not trail at the top of the Gondola

Winter Carnival – Cross-Country Obstacle Race- A fun and entertaining obstacle race for the young cross-country skiers, ages 5-12.
Howelsen Hill – 4:30pm - Winter Carnival Button is required

Winter Carnival – Telemark Challenge – Welcome to all ages.  Also 20, 30 and 50 Meter Jumping, and a Snowboarding Jam Session
Howelsen Hill - 6:00pm – 8:00pm

Winter Carnival  - Laurence Gonzales Lecture – Epilogue Book Company presents a lecture, discussion and booking signing with award winning author Laurence Gonzales.

Mah Jongg Ladies – Mah Jongg is an ancient Chinese tile game. New players are welcome!

Friday 2/6
Winter Carnival – Amateur Alpine Ski Flying Training
Howelsen Hill – 9:00am – noon

Winter Carnival – Soda Pop Slalom - This is a fun race and is open to any skier or snowboarder through the 5th grade.
Mt Werner – Headwall – 10:00am

Winter Carnival – Tubing party – Come experience Howelsen Hill Tubing hill. Tubes are provided and a waiver must be signed.
Howelsen Hill – 4:30pm – 7:30pm

Winter Carnival – Amateur Alpine Ski Flying Event – This is a must-see Geledesprung ( a German word that means terrain jump) Ski Jumping event with amateur level participants taking flight off the K68 hill in alpine skis and boots, rather than the usual ski jumping equipment.
Howelsen Jumping Facility – 6;30pm –7:30pm

Vista Verde Snowshoe Tour – Meet at Vista Verde for a free 2 hour snowshoe tour. 2:00pm – 4:00pm

Saturday 2/7
Winter Carnival – Knights of Columbus Pancake Breakfast – Hosted annually by the Knights of Columbus, this function is the perfect way to fuel up for all of the day’s activities. A nominal admission is charged.
Holy Name Catholic Church – 8:00am – 11:00am

Winter Carnival – 100 meter Nordic Sprint – Find out who is the fastest skate skier in the “Boat”. Male and female Divisions, ages 13 and over, and 12 and under.

Winter Carnival – Street Events – A wildly popular and entertaining show featuring children on skis and snowboards being pulled behind horses through the snow covered streets of downtown. Races include street slalom, ski-joring, ring and spear, donkey jump and the famous adult shovel race.

Winter Carnival – Pro Alpine Ski Flying Training –
Howelsen Hill – 1:00pm

Winter Carnival – International Muzzle Loading Biathlon – In this unique endurance event, participants clad in fur trappings, frontier village attire combine marksmanship, using black powder firearms with cross-country skiing on primitive equipment.
Howelsen Hill – Noon-2:00pm

Winter Carnival   - Night Extravaganza – A must-see evening of entertainment at historic Howelsen Hill. The evening features a winter sports exhibition, the Lighted Man, glowstick and torchlight parades, fiery hoop jumpers, an elaborate fireworks display, and much more.
Howelsen Hill – 6:30pm
